about us

Our creative work starts from wild silkworm breeding and sericulture.

Then we spin yarn, dye using safe and natural dyes and weave with to deepen
the relationship with local agriculture and people at ‘Yamamayu’ in Yamanashi. and Ubud in Bali.

Through our creative activities are expanding to south-east Aisa, We have
been creating our new textile fabrics as a tool of living in order to create
new culture.

There are two workshops in the very mountainous areas in the southern precinct of the Kofu basin in Yamanashi.

Our workshop was established in 1894 in Hachioji, Tokyo.
Our dye-and-weave techniques is a legacy that has been handed down from five generations.

We started to dye and weave using agricultural raw materials when we discovered the importance of Agriculture as the basis for textile creation twenty years ago.
We create textile from sericulture, rearing wild silkworm, spin, dye and
weave natural and locally cultivated material in a sustainable manner.

Expanding our creation, we have now set our sight on Bali, Indonesia to
leverage on its abundant supply of raw materials as we our next step forward.
We are now trying to create modern fabrics using traditional techniques
in Japan and Indonesia, and to introduce our organic lifestyle in order to help protect environment.
