絹からみ織りストール《茜影（あかねかげ）》

赤と黒が重なり、静かに息づくように揺らぐ絹からみ織りのストール。
鮮烈ではなく、深く穏やかに漂う赤。その陰影の奥に、やわらかな光が宿ります。

黒は闇。色の不在でありながら、光を吸い込み、静けさの中に力強さを秘めた色。
赤は生命の色であり、熱や脈動を内側に静かに抱き留める色。
《茜影》は、この二つの気配が交わるところに生まれる「動と静のある赤と黒」をテーマにした作品です。

2025年、私たちは“赤と黒”という対極の色を一年かけて深く追求してきました。
そして今回、名古屋ファインアートコレクションに特別に参加させていただくことになり、
この作品を 2025年の赤黒シリーズの集大成 として完成させました。

これまでの作品では、緯糸に正絹糸・絹強撚糸・手紡ぎ真綿糸を用いてきましたが、
本作には、新たな試みとして 1000個の繭から引いた糸 も織り込みました。

さらに使用した繭は、今年工房で大切に育てた「小石丸」。
小石丸の繭は細く、静かな光を放つ特別な糸です。
その優しい糸と、1000個の繭から生まれた強靭な糸とが交わることで、
“やさしさ” と “強さ” の両方を宿す布となりました。

一本でも輝く絹の糸が、千本重なることで生まれる深い光沢。
その光を抑えすぎず、主張させすぎず、糸の張力と密度のバランスを慎重に調えながら織り上げました。

《茜影》は、情熱ではなく、静かに息づく赤と黒の余韻を表現した一枚。
素材から追求し、染め、紡ぎ、そして織りまでを山梨の山間で創作した、
この世にただ一つしか存在しない、Collector’s Series の特別作です。

Silk Leno Weave Textile “Akane-kage — Quiet Madder Shadow”

A silk leno-weave textile where red and black drift quietly together, creating a soft interplay of shadow and light.
The red in this piece is not fiery, but calm — a madder hue that breathes slowly, revealing depth rather than intensity.

Black is deep dark, the absence of color, absorbs light and turns it into quiet strength.
Red carries the memory of life — a pulse, a gentle warmth held within.
“Akane-kage” expresses the meeting point of these two elements: a move and quiet, meditative red and black.

Throughout 2025, we have explored the dialogue between red and black.
With our special invitation to the Nagoya Fine Art Collection,
this work was created as the culmination of the year’s red-and-black series.

Traditionally, our weft yarns consisted of silk, high-twist silk, and hand-spun floss silk.
For this special edition, we added a remarkable new element:
threads drawn from 1,000 cocoons.

These cocoons came from Koishimaru, a rare and delicate silkworm variety we raised in our studio this year.
Koishimaru silk is fine, tender, and subtly luminous.
By combining its gentle character with the extraordinary strength of the 1,000-cocoon silk,
this textile embodies both softness and resilience.

A single filament shines on its own — a thousand together create a profound radiance.
Balancing this brilliance with the quietness of the design required careful adjustments of tension and density throughout the weaving process.

“Akane-kage” is a meditation on red and black: not passionate, but quietly alive.
A one-of-a-kind piece in the Collector’s Series.
