染織教室
繭から真綿
from cocoon to flossy silk
5月下旬、第1回目の染織教室でした。
月1回山梨の工房に来て頂き、繭からはじまり布を完成させるお教室です。
初日は布をつくるための素材作りをしました。お蚕さんがつくった繭を煮て蛹を出し真綿をつくります。
The first dyeing and weaving workshop was held in late May.
This is a monthly workshop to weave cloth from cocoons.
The first day, we made materials to weave cloth. The material is flossy silk, so the guests took out the pupas from the cocoons and made flossy silk.
春の植物であるヨモギを採集し、真綿を染めました。ヨモギは柔らかい葉ほどきれいな色がでます。
We also dyed flossy silk with the spring plant Mugwort.
The younger the mugwort leaves are dyed in a more beautiful color than
normal leaves.
お昼ごはんは、切り干し大根や椎茸がたっぷり入った魯肉飯（ルーローハン）と、トマトのマリネに野菜の中華風のお漬け物などでした。
デザートは、写真も撮ってなくて記憶もなく忘れてしまいました
Lunch was Lurou fan (Taiwanese minced pork rice) with lots of dried radish and mushrooms, and tomato marinade and pickles and so on.
I forgot what I made for dessert.
