水戸京成百貨店4階アートギャラリーにて、2026年9月23日まで作品展を開催しています。天蚕糸や手紡ぎの絹真綿など、異なる糸の表情を生かした布をご紹介します。

Our textile exhibition is now open at Mito Keisei Department Store through September 23, presenting works woven with Tensan wild silk, hand-spun mawata silk, and other silk yarns.
古い糸と新しい糸を結びながら、次の布へ。
今では使わなくなった道具や、かつてこの仕事を担っていた人たちの記憶も、工房に残っています。

Tying old threads to new, we move toward the next cloth.
The workshop still holds traces of tools no longer used, and of the people who once carried out this work.
声で数え、手で張りを感じ、目で糸を見て、耳で機械の音を聞く。
820本の経糸を、いくつもの感覚を使いながら整えていきます。

Counting aloud, feeling the tension by hand, watching the threads, and listening to the machine.
We prepare 820 warp threads by relying on several senses at once.
