染織教室
木枠の織り wood frame weaving
9月下旬に、染織教室の5回目を開催しました。ついに、紡いだ真綿糸で織っていく作業が始まります。
どんなものを創りたいのかで、使用する織機を選びます。
今回は、壁に飾れる布を創りたいというご希望だったので、木枠で織ることになりました。
まず、木枠に経糸を張ります。絹真綿の手紡ぎ糸なので、扱いが難しくに慎重に張らなければならなく時間がかかりましたが、とても色合いが美しい経糸が完成しました。
少し織ってみましたが、あまりにも経糸だけでもきれいなので、緯糸を織らずに飾ろうか？など、悩んでみることになり、お持ち帰りになりました。
これを創らなければいけないというお教室ではないので、なんでもありです。どんな創作になるのか私も楽しみです。

Finally, we begin weaving with the spun flossy silk yarn.
We can choose the loom we use depending on what we want to create.
This time, the request was to make a cloth that could be displayed on a wall, so we decided to weave it using a wooden frame.
First, stretch the warp yarns onto the wooden frame. Since it was hand spun from flossy silk, it was difficult to handle and had to be carefully strung. It took time, but the warp yarns were completed with beautiful colors.
She tried weaving a little, but the warp is beautiful, so she took the frame home and decided to figure out what to do with it.
Anything is possible.
I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of creation it will be.
