Current Exhibitions and Workshops
From cocoons to mawata silk, thread, and cloth.
Building on textile skills passed down for more than 130 years, we weave cloth that carries the movement of air and gathers the light.
We quietly layer colours drawn out by the seasons and the materials, bringing the expression of each cocoon and each thread into a single cloth.
Here you will find our current and upcoming exhibitions, as well as workshops now open for registration.
Izumo｜Okaya Mokugei
We will return to Okaya Mokugei in Izumo, Shimane, for our first exhibition there in two years.
From cocoon to thread, and from thread to cloth.
The exhibition presents works that bring together the individual qualities of the materials through dyeing and weaving.

- Venue: Okaya Mokugei, Izumo, Shimane
We hope you will enjoy the colours of silk and the layers of thread within a space shaped by woodwork.

Niigata｜Niigata Isetan
We will hold our fifth exhibition at Niigata Isetan.
The exhibition presents works dyed and woven from threads with distinct qualities, including Tensan wild silk, hand-spun mawata silk, and reeled silk.
- Dates: October 21 (Wed)–26 (Mon), 2026
- Venue: Isetan Art Gallery, 7F, Niigata Isetan
- The exhibition closes at 4:00 p.m. on the final day.
- The artists are scheduled to be present throughout the exhibition.

Workshops｜Hachioji and Yamanashi
We are currently accepting applications for workshops held at our Hachioji atelier and Yamanashi studio.
These are small-group workshops where you can touch cocoons, mawata silk, thread, colour, and cloth, tracing by hand the time before cloth is complete.
