“Flossy silk with natural dyeing ‘Ran Kasuri’ by hand-spun yarn hand weaving textile”
First, we boil a cocoon with baking soda until it is tender, and then take out of the pupal inside a cocoon.
We fluff out and can make flossy silk. At this stage, we dye the flossy silk with natural materials around our studio, such as tree and leaves.
The mix colors of flossy silk are spun by hand, and make ‘KASURI’ yarn.
As it’s not dying after spinning yarn, it represents complex color of natural dyeing, and further,
we are able to make various type of yarn by hand-spun.
As a result, the weaving textile gives wonderful texture of silk.
