Cloth in the Making

We record the time that becomes invisible once the cloth is complete.

Raising silkworms, making thread from cocoons, dyeing, preparing the warp, and weaving. As much as possible, we keep each step of the journey toward cloth within our own hands.

Studio

A textile studio in the mountains of Yamanashi.

We carry on the textile work that began in Hachioji in 1894. Today, we continue making cloth together as a family.
