Textiles from Cocoons — Bridging People and Nature
To wear them gently is to feel warmth in body and mind. To simply look at them is to feel calm.
Carrying forward 130 years of weaving and dyeing heritage while advancing sericulture and wild-silkworm rearing, we present textiles shaped by the gift of nature — the cocoon — and the work of the hand.
Artist attendance: Tetsuji and Keiko Nakagawara will be present at all venues during the exhibition period, except for “corai” at Kirishima-Jingū Station in Kagoshima.
