～風を纏い光をたたえる、繭からの布～
2026年10月10日（土）より、島根県出雲市のおかやギャラリーにて作品展を開催いたします。
おかや木芸では、2024年に再びご縁をいただいてから、今回が2回目の開催となります。
前回の作品展でお話をするなか、実は何十年も前にも、知人のご紹介でこちらに作品を並べていたことを思い出しました。
長い時間を経て、もう一度つながったご縁。その出雲の地で、再び作品をご覧いただけることに感謝しております。
樹々の葉に育まれた繭から、真綿、糸、そして布へ。
天蚕糸、手紡ぎの絹真綿、絹正糸など、それぞれに異なる糸を組み合わせ、染め、織り上げた作品をご紹介いたします。
木の仕事が息づくギャラリーの空間で、絹の色や、糸と織りの違いをお手に取ってご覧いただけましたら幸いです。

Textile Exhibition

Cloth from Cocoons, Carrying the Wind and Holding the Light
Our exhibition will open on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Okaya Gallery in Izumo, Shimane.
This will be our second exhibition at Okaya Mokugei since our renewed connection in 2024.
During our previous exhibition, a conversation brought back the memory that we had also shown our work here many decades ago, after being introduced by a mutual acquaintance.
After so many years, that connection found its way back to us. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to present our textiles once again in Izumo.
From cocoons nurtured among the trees to mawata silk, yarn, and cloth.
The exhibition presents works dyed and woven from threads with distinct qualities, including Tensan wild silk, hand-spun mawata silk, and reeled silk.
Within the gallery shaped by Okaya Mokugei’s woodwork, we invite you to hold the textiles in your hands and experience the colours of silk and the differences in thread and weave.
